Stan gave seven years excellent service to the team and was that unusual beast, a midfielder who chipped in with a great many goals. His game developed under the guidance of both MON and GS and it’s fair to say a player of his standard is precisely what’s missing in the midfield at present. Honourable mentions to the quite brilliant Naka with 36.4% of the vote and wonderfully exciting Aiden McGeady with a respectable 18.5% of the votes cast.
