Mas alto que el sol. Well not quite. Everyone knows by now Lenny has been desperately trying to sign Sun Campbell and agreed to give the big chap additional time off for marriage and honeymoon (yie aff yir nut big man? Just give her half your money and walk away without the hassle) before making a decision on his next port of call. Our understanding is Sun has committed to no club yet but will make a decision next week. In the meantime time stands still for no one and representatives from the club have held talks over the past fortnight with our amigo Ivan Ramis the Real Mallorca centre back. We understand Ramis is desperate to sign for Celtic and is available for a knock down price of €1.5m. With that in mind would it not make sense to sign Ramis and if possible We enquired about Taiwo from Marseille but no joy as more than one club from the Primera Liga are looking to sign him. Before the signing of Murphy we asked about taking Gary O’Connor on loan but Eck said no although talks are ongoing with Brum about other matters. David James in Walter Smith has let it be known he would be interested in moving to Fulham. Al Fayed said it’s the first thing that has cheered him up since Ken Dodi died Despite Bain's insistence that Rangers will look to buy a definite 2 and hopefully 3 players’, we are told they are asking for Cantare Musica dulce tocada. There has certainly been a lot of flying going on not only in the States. In the past 24 hours we understand talks have taken place with Mexican full back Carlos Salcido about a move to the club after PSV gave their permission following agreement of a €2m transfer fee. Salcido is wanted by other clubs so this is by no means a formality but talks are taking place and if anything comes of it you’ll be the first to know. Let’s hear a big 'Shame' for poor old Gordon Nice who must be gutted that Jim Delahunt got the Peter Martin Maguire gig at Radio Clyde. We did tell you months ago there were irons in the fire media wise but seems despite all the fire it was close but no cigar for the carbs free hair dye loving artist formerly known as Smith. Feyenoord have made an offer for Samaras. Ever wondered why the second most powerful man at Celtic during the McCann era has kept a very low profile with no interviews or comments to the media? We know of some people who know him from his Somerfield days. According to our man the person concerned was a regular visitor to Ibrox and could be described amongst other things an avid Hun watcher. By all accounts his company PC had almost all of the personal files labelled with famous Rangers players names, our man could go on with much, much more evidence but we’ve saved some for a rainy day. He does inform us though he would not trust him as far as he could spit, which we understand is a rather paltry four feet. His job is nothing more than securing as much salary and pension from us as possible ...nothing more. Along with PL he manages the day to day operations of the club but you wouldn't know he's there as too much publicity might have people digging into your past and then the game we understand would be up. Talking about Fergus McCann did you see him watching the Celtic v Sporting game in the That work behind the Jock Stein stand is moving on at a pace. Yo Sere Feliz We are talking to Barca about taking Jeffren Suarez on a season long loan. Suarez has bags of pace, trickery and crosses a great ball. Suarez recently signed a new contract extension with the Catalan giants but it’s unlikely he will even get a place on the bench such is the strength of the Barca squad. If the deal goes through Barca will have the option to take Suarez back to the Till next time. Adios! |
Unlike the Murphy's Craig Brown isn't bitter. Goal against Motherwell in the 1-0 victory on Sunday. Courtesy of youtube.

From Player of the Month, to Arse of the Month to, well, whatever else we can think of between now and people start asking questions.

over the course of the next while we'll be building up a section detailing Celtic Legends from the founding of our club onwards.
Contrary to the official Celtic poll of 2006 Celtic did have some legendary players pre-1996.
they're special. they mean something. some go a lifetime without them.
some crumble under the weight of them. gongs eh?
here we present the best of the best. ETims Awards. CLICK HERE
